Move In Day - Five Months Late
We've been living hear in our Craigslist/babies-r-us furnished apartment since September. Yesterday they dropped off ALL of our Virginia house. Realize this is moving from 2200 sq ft place with 3 floors to about 1200 sq ft on one level.
This picture shows part of the disaster. The place is piled high with boxes everywhere, and we walk down paths carved between the boxes. We have 1 month unill the baby is due.
Maybe more on this later, if I have time.
Say Good-bye (to) Virginia
Wednesday we pulled out of South Riding with the last of our belongings. It has been an crazy few weeks since the eventual buyers found the house on Zillow and wrote me an email. From there we met, negotiated a deal for both parties, and then worked through a lawyer to close on the property. The actual closing is next week (hope I don't jinx it), but everything is on track so we have faith.
The twist, and there is always a twist, is that as the movers finished packing all our stuff, I asked about setting the delivery date and the lead mover said it was already set -- the next day at 8am. And he was talking in NY. We still had alot of moving and cleaning, and there was an ice storm scheduled for that night. We were able to get the move in pushed back to Thursday, but that was overfull day today. We had to clean up, drive back, and then organize our place today. It's late now and we did the best we could, so now we wait until tomorrow.

Girls Weekend on the Cape
They came from Florida, Maine, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, and found Debbie's house on the Cape. We got lost somewhere near Hartford, but we found the house by 11 pm, and I still had a chance to enjoy the #3 export of Maine (behind lobster and LL Bean), coffee brandy.
Great weekend, except for the endless stories about how great the Patriots are. Oh I hope it ends soon.
We ended up back on Sunday night with some great gifts, including a diaper genie which still has me baffled, but I can't wait to give it a run.

Locks of Love Moment
Becky didn't have enough going on with the baby and the moves, so she also grew her hair long for the Locks of Love organization to help weave wigs for cancer patients.
You can see the length of it here, and I'll have to get another picture at the shower this weekend.
