Christmas Shopping
After Pensacola Christmas, we went to the Union Square to shop at their Saturday Farmer's Market, but we found that for Christmas they blow it with hundreds of small shops. There are other markets like this at Grand Central, Bedford Park and Columbus Sq.
One of those NYC moments hit when I came across a Christmas tree lot and found that $50 gets you a Charlie Brown tree and then you're stuck dragging it through the subway.
We stopped at one of Becky's favorite shops -- Max Brenner: Chocolate by the Bald Man (or something like that). Lots of tasty chocolate treats in various types, white, milk, dark. Something for everyone, including the best hot milk chocolate. Though at $5 for a small 8 oz, you had to savior it.
After we had a good meal at Heartland Brewery, a NYC brew pub chain, that must have a marketing plan based on where I get thirsty. I think there are 5 in NY and all are places that we have done our tourist trips. It's always nice to find one of these places on a cold night, get some meat, and enjoy a couple of their special winter brews.
