Lubec, ME - We are leaving the top-right of Maine tomorrow, having been vacationing with Becky's family in Lubec.

The story of the trip was that Becky's luggage never saw Lubec. Somehow the good people from United could not get it on the same plane that mine was on, so it did not get to Boston with us. From there the unfunny comedy of errors centered around the fact that United seldom knew where the bag was - DC? NY? Boston? Portland? Bangor? - each time we made an attempt to get it. Finally on Monday, we were told the bag was safely stored at the Bangor airport, so we plan to stop there and get on the way back.

The big event was a barbeque at Lisa and Kevin's on Sunday. Monday was Tony's birthday, parade #1, and the fireworks, unfortunately we were too lame to go out. Monday was also THE FIRST TIME in the history of Kevin's boating career that the boat go swamped. It was probably because the fat guy (me) was in the bow (nautical talk for front), so I got drenched from feet to shoulders.

The Maine trip is not completely done; from here, we plan to stay around Old Orchard Beach to see what the big deal is about that.
